With the installation of a BOA compactor (Ottevanger’s patented pre-compression technology and a unique alternative to double pressing or expanding) the pellet quality will increase considerably.
The BOA Compactors have a double-walled mixer housing in which steam and liquids are added and the mixture is compacted by means of a hydraulically controlled compacting chamber.
Large dimensioned, height and angle adjustable paddles guarantee a homogeneous mixing and hygienic process. The mixture is forcibly introduced into the compacting chamber where a rotating three-roll head presses it through two conical friction rings.
Three hydraulic cylinders accurately determine the adjustable distance (3-45 mm) between the friction rings, which together determine the degree of compaction by means of the engine power of the main engine. The unique combination of mixer housing and compacting chamber guarantees optimum absorption of steam and liquids, a more homogeneous distribution of raw materials, a higher press capacity and sublime grain quality
